Thame Therapy Clinic return to offer massages to ‘Ridge Off-Roader’ runners…
/ 25 March 2014 / No CommentsJust a few short weeks to go until the second Ridge Off Roader returns, on Sunday 27th April 2014.
Whether you are warming down from the London Marathon, burning off those Easter calories or just looking for a Spring run in the beautiful surroundings of the Chiltern Hills, come and join us for what promises to be a fantastic event for runners and spectators alike.
There are races for everyone from 4 years old upwards and plenty to do and see at the Race HQ with refreshments and massages for runners as well as lots of entertainment for children.
The massages will be provided by our therapists, Debbie Robertshaw and Poppy Bowler.
Poppy Bowler says, “We are thrilled to be involved with the Ridge Off Roader for the second year running. It offers a fun day out for the whole family plus you are helping to raise money for a great cause too. Along with the other therapists, I will be providing sports massages to the runners, before and after the run. It is hugely important to warm up the muscles before any physical activity as well as cool down afterwards to help flush toxins and lactic acid build up out of the muscle fibres. Massage assists this.”
All proceeds from the event will go to supporting the Bledlow Ridge School charity.
The event is licensed by UK Athletics, and advance entries for the 10km and 6.5km will respectively cost £11 and £9 for adults who are members of affiliated running clubs and £13 and £11 for adults who are not affiliated. Entries on the day will cost £15. The 1km costs £2 and 2km costs £3.
Everybody who completes the main races will receive a medal and a goody bag and children will receive something for their achievements as well.
