/ 23 September 2014 / No CommentsThame High Street is in the spotlight once again this Saturday 27th September as it welcomes the return of the ever-growing Food Festival, a landmark event for any food fanatic. We will be returning for the fourth year running offering tasty treats, refreshments, nutritional advice and an insightful talk. This takes place in Stoneworld Gallery from 11.45-12.30pm.
The informative discussion, presented by 3 of our experienced practitioners, will cover a variety of health topics. Physiotherapist, Irene Ricketts, will talk about medicinal foods from a western naturopathic perspective. Lara Roberts will then take to the podium to educate the audience of how to create a number of cosmetics, such as Lip Balm and Chocolate Face Masks, and homemade first aid remedies from products you can find in your cupboards at home. The presentation will then be rounded up with information about ‘super foods medicinal food energetics’ from an eastern perspective, by our Co-director’, Andy Roscoe.
Back on our stall, we will be providing visitors with refreshing homemade ice tea and fruit juices, which can be enjoyed whilst experiencing a mini reflexology taster session or a seated massage. There will be a number of samples available to take home, including artisan tea from around the world courtesy of Dragonfly Tea, Lavender Face Cream and information cards, with free bags of lavender, providing tips about the incredible uses of lavender in desserts and facial products. The cream of the crop is the opportunity to enter into a prize draw to win free treatments. Prizes on offer are, a massage, a reflexology session, a zero balancing session, vega testing for allergies and an ‘integrated naturopathic/physiotherapy assessment.
Our stand can be found in Zone E, near Lloyds Bank, and we look forward to welcoming you.
